Answers to that will be given during the 16th European Congress of Forest Pedagogy, which will be held in Zürich, Switzerland from 11 to 13 May 2022 in various forests and other inspiring locations.
Forest pedagogues at Slovenian Forestry Institute gladly provide innovative environmental education, transfer of knowledge and promotion of forest science since 2011. Our educational work is carried out according to the principles and methods of forest pedagogy and flow learning. Our activities address all social, environmental and economic aspects of sustainability through the forest.
We are also active partners of Forest Communication Network - Subgroup-Forest Pedagogics.
Forest pedagogy appreciates, encourages and promotes forest as healthy and innovative educational ground. It uses active educational methods that enhance mutual cooperation and promote sustainable development. Primary school teacher Nataša Šefer is one of most active pedagogues in this field and she enjoys outside forest education! As you see and hear– her pupils also 😊!
From 29th of September to 5rd of October 2019 IUFRO happened – in Curitiba, Brasil. More than 2200 forestry-scientists debated on main theme “Forest Research and Cooperation for Sustainable Development”.
