LeadGreg Traymar, director of Sharing Nature Worldwide
We invite you to the Sharing Nature seminar, which will take place on 11 and 12 May 2018 at the Natura hotel in Rogla, organized by the associationGreen lane,Forestry Institute of SloveniaandSharing Nature Worldwide.
You will learn about effective approaches for bringing nature closer to your students and nature visitors with the help of one of the world's most popular and widespread educational programs. Since 1979, Sharing Nature®, Joseph Cornell's bestselling books and seminars have inspired individuals and organizations to deepen their relationship with nature and care for the environment.
In the two-day seminar, you will acquire skills and knowledge, with the help of which environmental education and training will become a pleasure. Inspiring and fun experiential learning will help ensure that ecology does not remain just a concept, but becomes a part of life and awareness. Proven methods stimulate the mind and touch the heart. At the seminar you will learn:
-
the most successful activities for experiencing nature, which help bring the concepts of ecology to life in everyday life,
-
Flow Learning™, a learning strategy in nature that gently, almost magically leads students to an inspiring experience of nature,
-
game principles as part of multifaceted, integrated learning,
-
forest pedagogy activities that encourage a scientific and intuitive understanding of trees,
-
"Journey to the Heart of Nature" program,
-
wellness exercises in nature that contribute to personal rejuvenation and inspiration.
Slovenian experts will present good practices in the field of nature interpretation and forest pedagogy. Greg Traymar, a close collaborator of Joseph Cornell and representative of Sharing Nature Worldwide, will present the principles of "Sharing NatureTM", and then, as part of the workshops, practical approaches to experiencing nature.
