On Saturday, May 20, 2017, the Forest of Experiments presented the activities of forest pedagogy to the students of the Faculty of Education, Maribor, as part of the course Getting to know the environment outside the classroom.

This time we took three forest pedagogues into the world of forest pedagogy60 future teachers. We prepared three stations with three different activities that aroused curiosity and intensified enthusiasm. One of the activities awakened their color perception, another took them into the world of forest animals, and the third asked the students to become raindrops for a moment. It's true,with modern approaches of forest pedagogy, we can achieve not only educational, but also physical, emotional, intellectual and social goals.

 

We learned a lot, including that in forest pedagogy activities with younger children, we use little or no tools or only those found in the forest. In the case of older children, when we pursue goals in school curricula with the help of forest pedagogy, let's help each other with various accessories that we can bring with us to the forest. We introduced future educators to the learning objectives of the Learning about the environment course, which each of our activities is sufficient for.In the end, we did not evaluate the acquired knowledge with grades - šA long rope connected the entire circle of participants and allowed each of them to express their feelings.
